Model 4, in the dark

A bike nobody had seen, revealed to nineteen hundred people in a room we blacked out for three days.

Halcyon had a finished bike, a half-finished story and a hall with skylights we had to kill before we could light anything. We blacked the room out over three days, hung a single truss ring over a turntable, and built the whole night around one moment of light.

Doors at seven, house down at eight, and the Model 4 came up out of the floor on a cue Desmond called off timecode. The room stayed for another two hours because we had planned for them to.

We ran audio, lighting, video, staging and the run sheet, and took the sales team's tablets on to our own network so preorders did not drop out in the middle of the reveal.
